Messrs. Wells, Gellatly and Clark, the Commercial Club committee having in charge the location of state road No. 7, between here and Ellensburg. left today for Ellensburg in the Wells' White Steamer. They were accompanied by Engineer Copp of the state road commission, and the object of the trip is for the purpose of conferring and arranging with the Kittitas county people for a joint commission to work for the location of the road and have charge of the legislative enactment in the state legislature.
The party left here at noon and will go by way of the Colockum. It was snowing hard on the Cascade summit this morning and fears were entertained that there might be some difficulty in making the trip, but the Wells car is a powerful machine and if the road is not too bad the car can make it.
The committee was in consultation several hours yesterday with Engineer Copp, and it is thought best to go ahead with the final location of the Colockum route. Kittitas county is progressing nicely with the engineering part of the work in that county and the work is now on the lower levels away from the snow.
